An appealing new entrance plaza for Villanova University’s Office of Admissions. Formerly a cluttered asphalt service drive - the new plaza includes: stone paving and seat walls which match the building architecture, steps, handicapped ramp, landscape plantings and rain garden for stormwater recharge. As project landscape architect for Simone Collins Erik Karlsson lead the project team which included Associated Engineering Consultants, Inc. as project engineers

Rain garden below the plaza collects roof and plaza runoff and provides stormwater infiltration on-site, includes porous soil beneath and water tolerant native plants.
